Are you new to the graphics art industry and want to get started with Corel? I am often asked; What is the difference between Corel Graphics Suite and the Home / Student edition of the program.
There are 3 important things tat are not included with the Home/ Student version of the program.
1) Corel comes with over 1,000 fonts for you to use but the H/S version only installs about 200 of them and the rest are not available to person that purchased the H/S version.
2) Corel also comes with over 10,000 high quality clipart and digital images. The H/S version doses not have any. This is also true for the Digital photos, vehicle templates and the stock templates.
3) You are also missing the Visual Basic unit of the program. This allow you to use add on programs (things called Macros) from other people that will make you life a lot easier.
If you don’t need these things then you are a Home / Student. If you are in business then you will need them and we suggest that you buy the Full version of Corel Graphics Suite not the Home / Student version.
NOTE: Corel States in there License agreement with the Home / Student version that you are not allowed to make a profit with the use of the program. You can also not upgrade this version when going to the next version of the software. This is normally a 50% price savings off the full version price.

Did you know that CorelDRAW comes with over 1,000 fonts but when the program installs only about 200 to 250 where are all the rest?
If you have CorelDRAW X3 or below check the disks that came with the program. The font directory on the CD needs to be copied to your hard drive so you can access them using a program that came with Corel called Bitstream Font Navigator.
If you have X4 or X5 you need to have them copied when you install the program through an area called Extras. Pay attention to where it wants to put them so you know where they are or browse and put them where you want them. I would also recommend using the program that comes with Corel called Bitstream Font Navigator.

In CorelDRAW Graphics Suite, whenever you use the Mouse Wheel the document zooms in or out. But you can also use the mouse wheel to scroll vertically and horizontally in your document.
The trick is to use the "Ctrl" and "Alt" keys. With the "Ctrl" Key pressed you can scroll Horizontally and with the "Alt" key you can scroll Vertically.
You can also press the mouse wheel and move you mouse to navigate Vertically, Horizontally or Diagonally.
